A CALL TO EMULATE THE SAINTS

The Church celebrates the victory of our God in the company of all the redeemed in Heaven. She venerates those who through their life struggles lived exemplary lives, even though they were not officially canonized. If we purify ourselves through righteous living like these Saints, then we shall surely triumph in the end by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

TRUE REPENTANCE ENGENDERS HARMONIOUS COHABITATION

In this 2nd Sunday of Advent, Prophets Isaiah and John the Baptist foretell the coming of the Messianic Kingdom, a paradisiacal period where lion (aggressiveness) and sheep (gentleness), that is, every person will dwell in peace, justice, compassion, truth, and harmony without discrimination or envy, but with genuine love and unity. So, how can this be possible in our contemporary chaotic societies and families?

STAY AWAKE AND ACTIVE

In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus Christ tells us to always stay awake and be ready, since the Son of man is coming at an hour we do not expect. So, in this Advent Season, as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas and Christ’s Parousia, how can we always remain actively awake?
