The ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into Heaven reminds us that there is hope of an eternal home in Heaven where we shall rest after our earthly sojourns. Jesus Christ gave this assurance to His disciples and promised to send them the Holy Spirit, who would always guide, teach, and strengthen them (John 14:18).
As our Lord Jesus Christ ascends into Heaven and promises to send us the Comforter who will be with us till the end of time (Acts 1:8), our minds are to be focused on the things of Heaven in anticipation of that special inundation of the Power of the Most High God, through fervent prayers (Novena to the Holy Spirit, Divine Mercy Prayer, etc.), forgiveness, and love of one another.
May the Power of the Holy Spirit protect and empower you and your entire family to bear authentic witness wherever you find yourself, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
